Your new favourite record label
We’re not just a label, we’re a community-driven movement, fuelled by passion, collaboration, and the belief that independent music deserves better. Here's what we believe in:
Fair pay, always – Every artist on our roster gets a 50/50 split on sales. No complex contracts, no recoupment, no tricks.
Working together – From concept to release, we believe we're better when we work together. We support each other as a team to help our artists develop, increase our audience, and grow our community.
Ethical & sustainable – We're a small label, but we still produce small runs of CDs and Cassettes that do some damage to the environment. We understand that there's no music on a dead planet, so we try to offset our carbon footprint by planting trees every month. To date, we’ve planted 312 trees, reducing over 15 tonnes of CO2.*
Powered by fans – Our label is largely funded by subscribers (people who pay upfront for a year and get a copy of everything we release) allowing us to put creativity first instead of chasing sales.

Why a record label?
Most independent artists go it alone. They write, record, promote, and manage everything themselves.
Even when you're in a band it's generally 1 or 2 members who do all the heavy lifting. It’s exhausting, overwhelming, and at times, isolating.
That’s where Lights And Lines comes in. We exist to amplify the voice, presence, and reach of our artists.
Working together as a team we can double the efforts to help reach new audiences, develop their craft, and be part of something bigger than just their own music.
With a built-in community of supporters, we make space for artists to experiment, grow, and thrive, without the pressure of high commercial expectations.
What about the collective?
The label is an exercise in curation and personal taste, we sign the artists we love and feel we can support within the practical constraints of things like how much time we can dedicate to people and budget.
The collective offers independent artists from across the world the chance to connect, create, and share. Whether it’s remix projects, live showcases, shared contacts and advice, or initiatives like our songwriting competition, #AlbumWritingClub, we’re always looking for new ways to support creativity and connect musicians
This is more than a label—it’s a movement.
